Why you need to watch out for fourth place!

You'll often hear people saying they feel sorry for the person coming forth, just missing out on the podium, or a medal, awesome prize money, or being the fourth person & reserve to often a 3 team selection! Fourth can often be seen as the first person to lose, but we're missing a key point!

That person coming forth is gaining a lot of free benefits coming forth, that often would be overlooked by the glory of a podium.

How often do we go back to our races where we have one for being on the podium to look for improvement or pick mistakes up and analyse in depth aspects we could have done differently! You don't, because it's seen as a success!

But confirm fourth, being the reserve or just missing that podium step makes us question, analyse & critic where we can be better next time. You don't settle! You can be better.

Which attitude & outcome leaves you a more driven, determined process focused & resilient athlete & individual moving forward, fourth does!

On reflection, it's often our second best results, under done performances & days out racing that we take the most from. You don't want to make the same mistake twice, so you make Changes, learn & implement what fourth taught you into your daily environment to strive towards that top step!

Fourth is under rated, if you ask me, it's the athletes coming fourth, consistently in the shadow, clipping at the heals, these are the athletes you need to watch out for! They're resilient, determined, hard working, strong willed, & aren't about to settle for the same mistake twice!
